Ensure that event participants are checked in, give them correct information about the event, and direct them to their room assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Check in participants and provide registration and event materials to participants and guests.
  • Answer questions concerning the event and facility.
  • Demonstrate a pleasant and helpful demeanor while creating a welcoming environment for attendees.
  • Have the ability to multitask effectively.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Attend a pre-event training webinar.
  • Have a pleasant and helpful attitude.
  • Have the ability to lift 10 or more pounds.
  • Have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Time Requirement

  • Minimum of two hours per opportunity

Training and Orientation

  • STTI staff will provide training, orientation, ongoing support, and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Sign in presenters. (Have speakers sign their name.)
  • Sign in moderators. (Same as above.)
  • Hand moderators their moderator packets.
  • Hand speakers and moderators their continuing nursing education certificate for completing the required online education for speakers and moderators.

  • Attend a pre-event training webinar.
  • Have a pleasant and helpful attitude.
  • Have the ability to lift 10 or more pounds.
  • Have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Time Requirement

  • Minimum of two hours per opportunity

Training and Orientation

  • STTI staff will provide training, orientation, ongoing support, and supervision.

Greet attendees and assist with seat selection.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome dignitaries and attendees.
  • Assist with seating if needed.
  • Distribute any event materials (e.g., programs, brochures).
  • Support staff with additional tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Attend a pre-event training webinar/conference call.
  • Have the ability to lift 10 or more pounds.
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time and navigate stairs and stage risers unassisted.

Time Requirement

  • Minimum of two hours per opportunity

Training and Orientation

  • STTI staff will provide training, orientation, ongoing support, and supervision.

Assist attendees with STTI merchandise purchases.

Responsibilities

  • Answer questions and assist with selections.
  • Help staff keep merchandise organized.
  • Monitor marketplace inventory.

  • Have the ability to lift 10 or more pounds.
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time.

Training and Orientation

  • STTI staff will provide training, orientation, ongoing support, and supervision.

Greet attendees and answer general questions concerning the event and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome attendees to the event.
  • Answer attendee questions regarding the event, session rooms, and facility.
  • Multitask, answer multiple questions, and speak to large groups.
  • Assist staff as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Have a pleasant and helpful demeanor.
  • Have the ability to lift 10 or more pounds.
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time.

Time Requirement

Training and Orientation

  • STTI staff will provide training, orientation, ongoing support, and supervision.

Work with STTI staff to prepare the poster presentation area and assist with cleanup.

Responsibilities

  • Aid presenters in finding their poster location.
  • Answer presenters’ questions and provide setup materials and direction.
  • Assist staff with poster removal if presenters don’t retrieve their posters.
  • Multitask, answer multiple questions, and speak to large groups.

  • Have a pleasant and helpful demeanor.
  • Have the ability to lift 10 or more pounds.
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time.

Time Requirement

  • Minimum of two hours per opportunity

Training and Orientation

  • STTI staff will provide training, orientation, ongoing support, and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Review required information with presenters.
  • Introduce the presenters.
  • Monitor the room.
  • Facilitate the question-and-answer dialogue between the audience and the presenters.
  • Complete a short Moderator Report Form for feedback and session evaluation.
  • Obtain the signature of each presenter at each session.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Have a pleasant and helpful demeanor.
  • Attend a short scheduled moderator briefing session. (Information will be placed in registration packets.
  • Arrive in the session room at least 10 minutes before the session starts.
  • Have the ability to stand for one- to two-hour shift.
